On January 26, the Iroquois Couinty Sheriff’s Office and the Milford Police Department assisted the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Office, the Vermilion Metroplitan Enforcement Group and the FBI in arresting Michael A. Rogers, age 25, of East Lynn, IL.
Mr. Rogers was taken in to custody following a vehicle pursuit that originated in Vermilion County and continued in Iroquois County. The pursuit ended after Mr. Rodgers crashed the vehicle he was driving, a stolen pick-up truck from Hoopeston, IL, into a telephone pole in MIlford village limits. At the time of his arrest,Mr. Rodgers was wanted on a Iroquois County warrant charging him with burglary and theft connection with a break that occured at a Milford farm property last November, as well as two Vermilion County warrants for driving while license was revoked and burglary.Mr. Rodgers was transported to the Iroquois County Jail and charged with driving while license revoked, possession of a stolen motor vehicle, aggravated fleeing and eluding a police officer, aggravated fleeing and eluding a police officer, aggravated reckless driving and criminal damage to property.
