Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police Report for Feburary 21, 2012

- On Feburary 20, Iroquis County Sheriff’s Police investigated a single vehicle accident on 1980 E. Rd. near 1400 N. Rd. According to the police report, Cheryl R. Shields, 64, of Cissna PArk was traveling northbound on 1980 E. Rd. when a deer ran into the roadway and struck the passenger side of Shields vehicle causing more than $1,500 in damages. No injuries were reported and no citations were issued.

Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police Report for Feburary 20, 2012

- On Feburary 17, Iroquois County Sheriff’s Police returned from the Newton County Jail in Indiana with Tiffany L. Taden, 20, of Sheldon. Taden was wanted on an Iroquois County warrant charging her with two counts of Forgery. Taden remains in jail in lieu of bond.

Hoopeston Police Report for Feburary 20, 2012

- John Paul Smith, 47, of Indianapolis, was arrested on Feburary 19, at 4:04 P.M. for an outstanding Effingham County Warrant for faliure to appear for a DUI. He was trabsported to the Public Saftey Building in Danville, IL to bond on warrant.

Hoopeston Police Report for Feburary 17, 2012

- On Feburary 16, at 12:05 P.M. in the 500 block of West Penn. Tammy L. Fouse, 45, of Hoopeston was arrested for selling a controlled substance of medications that were issued to her. Fouse was transported to the PSB in Danville, IL to await arraignment.

- On Feburary 15, Elizabeth Shrove, 34, of Gilman tunred herself in at the Iroquois County Jail. Shove was sentenced to 14 days for a Charge of Misuse of a Credit Card.

Hoopeston Police Report for Feburary 16, 2012

On Feburary 15 at 7:52 A.M. A 2002 Dodge Durango driven by Roselyn E. Norman of Hoopeston was West bound on East Seminary when a 1990 GMC truck driven by Roy Zamora Jr, 20, of Hoopeston backed out into the street in front of her. Norman stated she was unable to stop and stuck Zamora. No injuries were reported and both units were insured. Zamora was cited for No Valid Drivers License, No Valid Registration, and Improper Backing.

Wind Farm Application Falls From Agenda

A permit for a second wind turbine farm in Vermilion County was pulled from the Vermilion County Board’s meeting agenda Tuesday night.
